Gorkem’s interest in health tourism since 2018 led to the founding of Clinic Travel Turkey in England in March 2019. Initially focusing on providing comprehensive packages for individual patients traveling from the UK to Turkey, the company later shifted its strategy in the last quarter of 2023. This strategic pivot involved transitioning from a Business-to-Consumer (B2C) model to a Business-to-Business (B2B) model. This shift indicates the company’s adaptability and strategic agility in responding to market dynamics and identifying new opportunities.
By providing services to doctors, polyclinics, and health tourism agencies engaged in health tourism, Clinic Travel Turkey diversified its client base and expanded its offerings beyond individual patients. This strategic move not only leverages Gorkem’s years of expertise in health tourism but also capitalizes on the growing demand for comprehensive service solutions within the industry. It also signifies a shift towards a more scalable and potentially higher-margin business model.
Gorkem joined the Health Tech Hub in High Wycombe as he recognized the potential of his innovative venture, Gorkem sought support and guidance from the Hub, where he found a nurturing environment conducive to growth and collaboration.
With the invaluable business support and resources provided by the Health Tech Hub, Gorkem honed his entrepreneurial skills and laid the groundwork for Clinic Travel Turkey’s success. The Hub not only offered a place to work but also served as a place for networking, mentorship, and access to vital industry insights.
As Clinic Travel Turkey flourished under Gorkem’s leadership, the time came for the company to spread its wings and embark on a new chapter of expansion. With fond memories and gratitude for the support received at the Health Tech Hub, Gorkem bid farewell to High Wycombe and set his sights on London, where new opportunities awaited.
